The most significant written work of the organization is The Permian Historical Annual, published each year for distribution at the fall meeting. Articles consist of papers presented at meetings, as well as submittals from members and local or professional historians and writers. Personal reminiscences are part of each volume. Non-members may submit articles.

All contributors are required to follow the style sheet found on this website. Since Permian Historical Society is a volunteer organization, no monetary compensation is given for published articles. A series of Special Books is in the planning stages. These will be a combination of documented and oral histories.

We also publish newsletters in the spring and fall of each year.  Those may all be found online in our newsletter archives.   From time to time, we will be listing information on new books that are relevant to the history of the Permian Basin, as well as reviews of older publications that may be of interest to our readers.  Online publications include articles written by our members or submitted by others; check this page often for new listings.
